(Chav is) quite an ugly word. There’s a real danger of thinking of people in absolutes. Asbo and Eggsy are both really three-dimensional characters, both men with enormous hearts, despite not being the most eloquent of men. I think the term is one we should start to remove from our lexicon. It’s a lazy, derogatory way of describing an incredibly broad and diverse group of people – Taron Egerton on Eggsy and Dennis.
